address. An e-mail message will be sent to you confirming
your appointment. In addition, e-mail and the Microsoft Web sites are the
primary methods used by Microsoft to communicate new information. Please be sure

your certification in a timely manner. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT Prometric
strives to provide Microsoft candidates with the best possible choice of dates,
times and locations in order to take their examination. Current cancel and
reschedule rates limit choice for Microsoft candidates, by reserving seats that
are never used. In order to encourage test takers to honor scheduled times and
reduce reschedule rates to free up seats and times for all Microsoft candidates,
Prometric is implementing a reschedule/cancellation fee that will be applied to
Microsoft candidates that cancel or reschedule on the web or through the contact
center with less than 15 days notice. (Because testing centers are able to
control their own schedules, this will not apply to tests that are scheduled /

General
Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) Exam Retake Policy
If
a candidate does not achieve a passing score on an exam the first time, the
candidate must wait at least a 24-hour period before retaking the exam.
If
a candidate does not achieve a passing score the second time, the candidate must
wait at least a 14-day period before retaking the exam a third time.
A
14-day waiting period will also be imposed for the fourth and fifth subsequent
exam retakes. A candidate may not take a given exam any more than five times per
year (12 months). This 12-month period would start the day of the fifth
unsuccessful exam retake. The candidate would then be eligible to retake the
exam 12 months from that date. In order to take a given exam more than five
times per year, a candidate must submit a request and obtain prior permission
from Microsoft.
If
a candidate achieves a passing score on an exam, the candidate cannot take it
again.

program. Digital Welcome Kits
In accordance with Microsoft's effort to reduce the company's carbon
footprint and impact on the environment, starting June 1, 2009,
all Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certificates
will transition from paper to digital certificates. If an individual would like
to order a printed certificate, an option will be available starting in July and
will include shipping and handling fees.
In order to sit for a Microsoft Certification exam at
a Prometric testing center in India, China, or Pakistan, candidates must be a
legitimate resident of that country. If Candidates ARE a legitimate resident of
that country, note the following: Effective September 15, 2010, Prometric testing centers in
these three countries are required to confirm and record that each Microsoft
Certification candidate has shown documented proof that they are a legitimate
resident of that specific country. To verify country of residence status, each
candidate is required to bring two valid and officially recognized forms of
identification (ID)—one with a photo and an official residence address, and both
with a signature. Students in Pakistan may use Student IDs as an official form
of identification. NOTE: Non-eligible candidates will be turned away at the
testing center if the candidate is unable to show proof of residency.
